Interview with Tamás Iváncsik about Marian Cozma

 

On Friday, our Club organizes a commemoration for honoring our former player Marian Cozma, with the help of Veszprém City and the Veszprém Fan Association. Many of his former teammates will be present in the event. We asked Tamás Iváncsik, among others, how he remembers Marian.

 

 

As I was the smallest in the team, the first thing about him was his height. We had the perfect rhythm between each other right from the first time, because we were defending next to one another. Me in the right wing and him in the right back. A great friendship formed between us very quickly. Marian was already here when I signed with Veszprém, but I have already met him before that, because I was attending their games to see my brother Gergő. We were in the same group sometimes with Vujin and Cozma.

 

I can say that he made the most progress in each years. He had outstanding qualities. He was a huge strength in our team. As a man he was generous with a great spirit, who was involved in every bit of fun and gag. You just had to look at him to instantly feel better.

 

We had a ritual with Marian before every game. He grabbed me in his arms before every game. One thing that is very memorable for me, is when I arrived to Veszprém and reclaimed the Hungarian championship title, still in the old hall, I was sitting in his neck and we were celebrating with the Fans together.
