Interview with Pawel Paczkowski

It has become official yesterday that the right back of PGE Vive Kielce, currently playing in Motor Zaporozhye on loan, will continue his career in Telekom Veszprém also on loan from July 2019. Pawel answered some of our questions about his signing.

You are going to play in Veszprém on loan from the summer of 2019. Why did you decide to continue your career at the Hungarian record champion?

I chose Veszprém because for me it is a great opportunity to grow as a player and I think Veszprém is one of the best clubs in the world. I do not know any player who would say no to an opportunity like this. I am very happy about this and I am looking forward to start the new season with Veszprém.

Have you ever played in Veszprém Arena? If so, what kind of experiences do you have?

Unfortunately, I have not played in Veszprém Arena ever, but everyone know that it is the hottest Arena in Europe. I am also very excited about my debut there because of this.

What is your proudest moment in your career so far?

One of my proudest moment in my career is winning the Champions League with Kielce. Of course, I was not a key player but I did play in the final a few minutes. This is the proudest moment in my career. I also had some good moments in the Polish league, as I was awarded best back player and I think it was also a very nice experience for me.

What kind of a player do you consider yourself, and how can you help the team?

I am a team player. I might not score so many goals but I try to play for the team. I can also play defense and offense as well, no problem for me there. I am a fast player, sometimes too fast maybe (Laughs). I am also an ambitious player and I am a fighter.

You are in Group B in the Champions League with your current team. How is that group?

Our group, in my point of view, is very equal. We can fight against any team in our group, maybe excluding PSG because they are the best in Group B. We have a chance to get into the best 16 of the Champions League but we still need to win some games to stay on the road of advancing.

What are your goals with Veszprém?

I know that Veszprém want to win everything in every season. I would like to make something big with Veszprém. This is my goal. Of course, I want to win the Championship of Hungary, but it will be difficult because Szeged is a good team. Also, I would like to claim the Cup of Hungary and win something in the Champions League. We all would like to do something big with Veszprém and I hope that we will be able to achieve it.

Last question: What is your message to the Veszprém Fans?

Stay as you are because I heard that you are the best. If you stay at your best we can achieve big things.
