Interview with Mirsad Terzic

 

It has been announced today that Mirsad Terzic extended his contract with Telekom Veszprém for one more year until the summer of 2020.

 

 

I did not have an easy situation as we went through a head coach change so I had to prove myself again, although it has never been a problem for me! It was always a motivation for me to show myself and to let myself known by people. Finally, coach Davis realized I what can and cannot do, and decided that he needs me, in contact with the board of the Club. I am very happy because my ambitions and dreams were always the same as the Club’s. I am proud that I can still work in Veszprém.

 

I am very proud and grateful for the trust of the board. I am thankful for the Supporters who see this performance that I put out on the court, where it matters the most. Nothing else matters. Only when we step on court and show what we can do, and that is handball. I am in Veszprém for ten years now, which may seem a long time, but the determination to improve has never decreased. Everything stimulates me here to do so. Veszprém has always been one of the top clubs of Europe and the world, and to be a part of that is fantastic. In addition, I always feel at home here, just as my family. It is a great news that I am staying here from many angles.

 

 

It was strange because this was the first team where nobody spoke my native language, like before in Celje. I had to get out of my comfort zone. A new life started for me not only in handball, but I got married at the same year when I signed to Veszprém. We build up our lives with my wife in Veszprém. I always say that I got married to Veszprém the same year I got married to my wife. There are a lot of great memories from that year. Of course, there are some bad ones but mostly the good things get stuck the head. They live in my mind as new as it had happened yesterday. There are more great memories.

 

Well. It is always a good feeling meeting new people and get to know them. For me, the best moments were when star players started coming to Veszprém. I have to say congratulations to the Club because they are working and have been working well. Such world-class players came to the Club as László Nagy many like him and we started to play a different kind of handball. First, the Spanish guys came and then many others. It is amazing when these players come together. It is fantastic to experience this. I would not be able to highlight only one.

 

First, I really want to bring the Hungarian championship back to Veszprém. This trophy belongs here and nowhere else. I have no idea what has happened last year, but I hope it will never happen again. I would like to be a Hungarian champion again mostly. We are hungry for success. Besides this, we would like to march as far in the Champions League as possible.
