"I am very motivated"

Yesterday we made an interview with the Hungarian National Team's right back, who is our team's new member now. It also turned out that his wish did not come true because Wales could not get into the finals of the European Football Championship. We hope that all of his other wishes, which were mention in the interview, will come true.

Hello Gabor, welcome in Veszprém!

Hello, welcome everyone.

How do you spend your holiday since the end of the season and after the world cup qualifying match with the National Team?

Mostly by relaxing but now with active relaxation. Doing nothing is enough now. I am here in Veszprém now so I spend most of my free time with furnishing the apartment and trying to get the necessary things, so we are busy right now.

Since I have mentioned the National Team in my previous question, how do you rate the performance of them and the fact that they will be there on the World Championship?

Everything was very positive to me. The preparation for the two matches had a really good atmosphere and both matches were good. All in all I have positive feelings in connection with that. I am really happy that we managed to go the World Championship and that we got the chance to show where our place is in the world of handball.

How did you feel when you signed your contract with Veszprém?

First of all I was really happy that I could join such a good team. I have a lot of motivation in me till this day and I feel that it will not be less. I would like to fit in the team as soon as possible and to help the team both in defense and attack.

You will play with Laszlo Nagy in the same team and in the same position just like in the National Team. It seems like you have a mentor-mentored relationship between the two of you. Am I right?

You are absolutely right. He is a kind of idol to me. He helps me a lot on the matches and on trainings. I think that I do not need a better person to learn from. I would like to draw profit from this because this is a huge chance that I can learn from him in a daily basis.

Probably you saw the CL draw. What can you say about it?

Well, it will not be easy! We have to play really good but I feel that we are on the short list of the group. Of course we have to work a lot for this and it needs concentration.

What do you expect from the next season including the CL and other tournaments?

I really hope that I can experience how it feels to be part of the CL Final4. I really want the team to get the trophy. I would be really happy then. For me SEHA League will also be a new experience because so far I have never had the chance to play in that. A lot of things will be new for me but as I have mentioned I am very motivated and cannot wait new challenges.

Please tell me a bit about how you spend your free time and what your hobbies are?

We have two dogs so I like to walk or ride a bike with them in the nature. This is what the most relaxing to me. Besides these I like to watch movies. I do not really have other hobbies.

Which film did you like the most recently?

Deadpool was really enjoyable so it turned to be one of my favorite Marvel movies.

Do you watch the European Football Championship? After the defeat of the Hungarian team, do you cheer to someone else?

Wales seems to be really sympatic because they are fighting very hard. They are a kind of surprise team so I hope that they can win the whole tournament. (Notice: Wales got defeated against Portugal for 2:0)

As a kind of closure what do you say to the Veszprém fans?

I kindly ask them to support the team in the future as they always did with demoralizing the opponents. I cannot wait to play in front of them in Veszprém Arena.
