The Hungarian Cup FinalFour kicks off on Saturday in the Főnix Hall in Debrecen. Telekom Veszprém will face RotaChrom Dabas on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. All games of the Hungarian Cup will be broadcasted live by M4 Sport.
Besides Dabas and Veszprém, MOL-Pick Szeged and Balatonfüredi KSE will participate in this year’s Hungarian Cup FinalFour. Let’s see the road of the each participant until the best four in Debrecen.
Balatonfüred started in the fourth qualification round, where they played against Gyöngyös on home court. They managed to win by four goals and advanced to the next round. The top scorers of the game was Péter Hornyák and Zdolik Bence with six goals each. In the next round they faced Budakalász for the FinalFour, which they also won. This time with a confident difference of ten goals. The top scorer of Füred was Balázs Szöllősi with six goals. Balatonfüred will meet MOL-Pick Szeged in Saturday’s semi-final at 3:15 p.m.
Szeged joined in the fifth qualification round to play against Mezőkövesd for the best four. Well, was not a huge effort by them as they won 36:24. The best scorer of the game was Stefan Sigurmannsson with seven goal, scoring five out of penalties. Szeged will play against Balatonfüred in the semi-final.

Dabas played more games during the qualification than any other participant in the FinalFour as they have joined in the third round. First they had to get past Veszprémi KKFT which they have done with a 29:43 result. Top scorer of Dabas was Bence Zakics with eleven goals. In the fourth qualification round they faced Eger and played a 26:26 draw. According to the rules of the Hungarian Cup qualifications upon a draw result, the away team advances to the next round, hence Dabas went on to the next round to play against Ferencváros as the last hurdle. In a tight game, leading the whole game Dabas won 26:23 and qualified for the FinalFour in Debrecen. Their opponent will be the already mentioned Telekom Veszprém on Saturday.
More than a thousand Supporters will go to Debrecen with the titleholders to help them to their 28th Hungarian Cup title.
