Happiness for everybody

It was a long time ago that a Turkish team came to Veszprém. And every time they did, they suffered defeat. Hopefully it will be the same this time because the clash of the finalist of the last Champions League and the new team will likely result in a home victory.

 

Though, in the most prestigious international tournament no one should take winning for granted since each team can surprise us. The devil never sleeps. Not even when a team has better skills and more international experiences.

 

In addition, our success in Zagreb proved many things. The most important one is that our team became a real and unified TEAM. Although they missed three excellent players of ours (László Nagy, Momir Ilic, and Cristian Zeitz), the team performed great in the endgame, which gave a proof of having a stable spirit. Coach Xabi Sabate stood next to the court leading the team. He took a huge responsibility that only the most experienced ones are capable of handling.

 

Not only MVM Veszprém gained victory over the Turkish team. Our coach has also defeated his colleague Veselin Vujovic. And that is something.

 

I can recall Máté Lékai’s face, who literally loosed himself shocking and yelling as if he was saying that: See, we did it!

 

Then came the endgame which was followed by an unforgettable moment when everyone including the injured and the substitute ones celebrated the amazing victory together.

 

It was an emotional experience for the boys who realised that they only can have great achievements by supporting each other especially after a hard period.

 

All in all, I cannot imagine anything but a victory over Besiktas.
