Foreshadow: Veszprém – Vojvodina

On Thursday at 17:00 the MKB-MVM Veszprém plays its last match this year and of course they want to say goodbye to 2014 as a winner team, in front of their fans. The opponent will be the RK Vojvodina. Our 12th SHEA League match will be broadcasted live by the Digi Sport1.

We opened this season with the Serbian champions (victory of Veszprém 19:32) and we also close the calendar year with them. And as it has been said in the yesterday's press conference it will be interesting to see how much the teams have developed since August 27. Although it might be definitive only for the visitor team.

The Vojvodina currently stands on the 9th place (out of 10) of the SEHA League, only the Borac Banja Luca stands behind them. They have won until now once (against the Radnicki), played three drawn games (against the Radncki, Borac and the Nexe), and were beaten eight times. Their most successful player is Filip Marjanovic with his 36 goals. He is standing on the 21th place of the scorers list of the SHEA League. In this list four of our players precede him: Momir Ilic (3rd place, 61 goals), Gasper Marguc (7th place, 46 goals), Christian Zeitz (16th place, 39 goals) and Renato Sulic (17th place 39 goals).

Last year, in the Serbian league they defended their title, after they finally could get before the Radnicki, while in the SEHA League they finished on the 7th place. This year in the EHF Cup - like Balatonfüred - they got to the first 16 but they got in a very difficult group, as the Füchse Berlin, the Porto and the Sjern Handbold is waiting for them. They also referred to that in their interviews yesterday, that the match against Veszprém will be a good training for them in terms of preparation for the strong opponents. And as the yesterday's press conference was mentioned: Miroslav Kocic represented the team, who signed for Metalurg last summer, but came back because of the financial problems of the Macedonian team. So a great new-old goalkeeper is strengthening Vojvodina.

The MKB-MVM Veszprém won confidentially on Sunday and Monday and of course the team is preparing to win also today to keep its perfect balance in the SHEA League and to present its fans with a victory before Christmas.
