Foreshadow: Veszprém – Tatabánya

 

Telekom Veszprém will clash with Grundfos Tatabánya on Saturday. The game will be held in the Audi Arena in Győr at 6:00 p.m., while before this, the Győri Audi ETO KC will host Siófoki KC. The entry is free of charge and does not require registration. The game will be broadcasted live by Sport 1 and later on Echo TV recorded.

 

 

Two of the most successful handball teams of Hungary will step on court on Saturday, when after the women team of Győr, the men team of Veszprém will play preparation games. The opponent of the men record champion will be Tatabánya.

 

The “Tigers” achieved 20 victories, 2 draws and 4 losses aout of 26 games in the K&H League. They collected 42 points, and were only short by 2 points to reach the second place in the regular season against MOL-Pick Szeged.

 

 

Tatabánya was also participating in the EHF Cup, to where they joined in the third qualification round. In their first game, they managed to beat Fench side, Chambery by one goal, 25:24. After this they lost by two goals in the second leg and got knocked out of the competition by only one goal. With their bronze medal in the Hungarian championship, this year they can have another go at the European cup series.

 

The ”Építők” hosted Balatonfüred for a preparation game last Friday and managed to win 35:18. This week the boys continued training at home in the Veszprém Arena and travelled to Győr on Thursday to a mini training camp. They worked hard and now they have a chance to play against a strong opponent. We hope that many Fans will go and see Veszprém onsite.
