Foreshadow: Veszprém – Szeged

Telekom Veszprém hosts MOL-Pick Szeged on Saturday at 5 p.m. in the K&H Liga.The clash is broadcasted live by M4 from 4:40 p.m.

 

 

One week after the clash in the VELUX EHF Champions League another hard game awaits for Veszprém. They host the so far unbeaten Szeged in the Hungarian Championship. Szeged currently stands in the 2nd position although they are two games behind Veszprém. We already played against them this season and lost by 3 goals in Szeged.

 

Our opponent of Saturday finished the VELUX EHF Champions League group phase in the 3rd position of Group B. They finished with 8 victories, 1 draw and 5 losses. Vardar Szkopje and Kielce beat them back-to-back, besides them Meshkov Brest was able to defeat Szeged. Their 3rd place means that they will play against Bjerringbro Silkeborg in the best 16. Top scorers are Zsolt Balogh with 65, Jonas Kallman with 53 and Sergei Gorbok with 50 goals.

 

 

Szeged played 19 K&H Liga games and managed to win all 19 of them.

 

„Építők” played on Tuesday against Cegléd and left the court with a confident 13 goals win. Last weekend they played in the CL and clinched an important 6 goals (34:28) win against Flensburg to claim the third place in Group A.
