Foreshadow: Veszprém – Strumica

On Saturday at 4:15 PM in Veszprém Arena, MVM Veszprém is playing against the Macedonian Zomimak Strumica in the SEHA League regular season. The match is broadcast by Digi Sport 1. This will be the team’s 1600th match – including all tournaments.

 

 

At the press conference, the opponent team said that they hoped they would perform their best against the outstanding team of Veszprém. On the home side, the team will put emphasis on improving their techniques against Strumica which has been through serious changes recently regarding the players as well as the coaching staff.

 

The two teams are playing against each other for the first time since Strumica is a new team in the SEHA League and we have not played with them in this season yet. The Macedonia team has not performed too well so far: they lost 13 games out of 15, and two games were ended with a draw. They played against Meshkov Brest this Wednesday and suffered a big defeat (39:20).

 

As Coach Xavi Sabate said, the guest team had serious changes in the past month. Vancho Trendafilov has been appointed as head coach of the team struggling with difficulties. Moreover, the team has 6 new players; each position has a new person except for the position of pivot player.
