Foreshadow: Veszprém – Presov

On Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Telekom Veszprém plays against Tatran Presov in the Veszprém Arena. The SEHA League match is broadcasted live on DigiSport 1 from 5:15 p.m..

 

 

Veszprém prepares for the last game of the regular season in SEHA League where they play against Tatran Presov who are currently standing at 9th position in the table. Last year we won both games against Presov. A 39:31 win at home and a 25:26 win on the road. Last time we met them was in December during the tight game-streak on the road. We managed to beat them 26:18. On that game Gábor Ancsin scored 6 goals while Gergő Iváncsik and Momir Ilic scored 4 times both.

 

Presov does not have a great season so far. They could only beat 3 teams in the league (Nexe, Velenje, Ljubuski) and has 12 losses in 16 games. Their top scorers are Oliver Rabek with 85 and Jakub Hrstka with 78 goals. Interesting fact that Lukas Urban, Oliver Rabek and Alexey Peskov scores with a 100% on breakthroughs. Also Lukas Urban gave 46 assists on 14 games.

 

 

Tatran won more matches in the VELUX EHF Champions League than in SEHA Gazprom League. They already won 4 games beating Chekhovskie Medvedi twice and beating Metalurg Skopje and Naturhouse La Rioja. With these victories they currently stand 4th position in Group C. The top scorers in this series are Oliver Rabek with 52, Jakub Hrstka with 46 and Alexey Peskov with 34 goals.

 

The „Építők” played 2 VELUX EHF Champions League games in a row. Last Saturday Plock was beaten in the Veszprém Arena 31:24, and this Thursday we beat Kadetten Schaffhausen 27:28 in a very close game.
