Foreshadow: Veszprém – Eger

 

Eger SZSE will visit Telekom Veszprém in the upcoming round of the K&H League. The game will be broadcasted live by Veszprém Handball TV YouTube channel.

 

 

Both of our games against Eger last season saw us achieving the 40 goal mark at least. In away, the result was a 22:41 for Veszprém, and mostly our line players did well. Blagotinsek and Nilsson scored the most goals from the team, five times each. In the home game, we won 45:31, mainly thanks to Tonnesen’s eight, and Strlek’s seven goals.

 

Eger finished the last K&H League on 10th spot. Out of their 26 games they won six times, drawn three times and lost 16 times. Their top scorer in the series was Rolandas Bernatonis with 109 goals.

 

Our next opponent played three preparation games over the summer, out of which they lost twice and won once. They lost against Mezőkövesd 30:27, while from Gyöngyös, they suffered a 33:25 defeat. Between the two games, they managed to win against Orosháza with one goal, 34:33.

 

 

For the next season, Attila Tóth has came from Veszprémi KKFT and Gabriel Papp arrived from Sportova Hlohovec. A bigger number of players departed from Eger, such as Péter Vaskó, Bence Takács, Dániel Repóth, Zsolt Dobó, Ádám Bajorhegyi, István Szepesi, Márk Hegedüs and Gregor Lorger. They will all start the new season in other clubs.

 

Last time, Telekom Veszprém played against Balatonfüred, and just like they did against Dabas, clinched a big difference victory. Out of the 40:28 victory, Vuko Borozan scored seven times, while Gajic and Manaskov scored six times each.
