Foreshadow: Veszprém – Csurgó

The K&H Liga will start for Telekom Veszprém too on Saturday at 4 p.m. The “Építők” hosts Csurgói KK in the Veszprém Arena. The game is broadcasted live on M! Sport from 4 p.m.

 

Csurgó finished last season on the 5th position trailing Budakalász by only one point. They played 26 games from which they won 14 times while achieved 2 draws and suffered 10 loss. They scored 678 goals in the season and just to have something to measure it up to our team scored 821 on 26 games. We met them a few times last season and we managed to win both games in the championship. First we played in Csurgó and won 31:26 while the second time at home we won 40:22. Other than that we played the Hungarian cup semifinal against them and won 33:23 and won the cup the next day.

 

Our opposition signed a lot of young players over the summer. They got Ádám Vasvári from Balatonfüred while Erik Szeitl and Attila Tóth arrived from Veszprém. Besides them Csurgó signed Marko Vasic from Vác, Uelington Silva Ferreira from Benfica, Rodolfo Oliveira from Gyöngyös and Klemen Cehte from Al Shabab.

 

The first championship game comes for the record champion in the 2017/18 season. The boys trained hard as always and are ready for the challenges ahead.
