Foreshadow: Veszprém – Celje

After the first Champions League match here comes the first SEHA League match to the Veszprém Arena. On Tuesday, Telekom Veszprém will fight against RK Celje Pivovarna Lasko’s team on home court after a 3-week break for our team in SEHA League.

 

 

It was them against whom we started the competition in SEHA on 3, September, when we defeated the Slovenian champion. On that match, Momir Ilic and Renato Sulic scored 6-6 goals. In the other team, Janc Blaz and Miha Zarabec had 7 and 4 goals. Both teams gathered 9 points so far, however Veszprém played less with one match. If we win today, “Építők” would move from the 4th place, while Celje would stay on the 5th place.

 

Our opponent played 2 matches in the Champions’ League so far and they have one victory and one defeat. In the first round they won against Zagreb, thanks to Luka Zvizej, who scored 7 goals. In the second round they lost against Rhein-Neckar Löwen’s team with only one goal. Miha Zarabec scored 8 goals on this match and after the second round he scored 11 so he became his team’s top scorer.

 

 

The Slovenian team played 5 matches in the SEHA League so far and after 3 victories and 2 defeats they are on the 4th place. They have lost against Veszprém and Vardar, however they won against Presov, Izvidac and the Slovenian rival, Velenje. Blaz Janc scored 31 goals after 5 matches so we have to be careful with him also.

 

Hopefully the team could have some rest after the Champions League on Saturday and they can play against Celje with renewed vigor. Live broadcast is going to be on Digi Sport1 starting at 5:45PM.
