Foreshadow: Veszprém – Cegléd

 

Telekom Veszprém will host Ceglédi KKSE on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in Veszprém Arena in the closing round of the regular season of the K&H League. The game will be broadcasted live by Veszprém Handball TV YouTube channel.

 

 

We have already played against Cegléd this season, on 16 December, in away and we clinched a confident 23:41 victory. After the game, István Gulyás, Sports director said: “Our goal was to respect the opponent as we were taught so. We can give the respect to them if we beat them by 20 or so goals. It worked today.” Top scorer of the team was Manuel Strlek with six goals, while from the opponent Marko Campar scored four times.

 

Cegléd is currently on 12th spot in the league, but they have the same amount of points as Mezőkövesd, which is on relegation spot. Mezőkövesd will play against Dabas in the last round. Our next opponent played 25 games this season so far and won six times, drawn once and lost eighteen times. Their six victories came against Mezőkövesd, Eger, Gyöngyös, FTC and Vecsés back to back. Top scorer of the team in the championship is Marcell Gábor with 84 goals.

 

Telekom Veszprém played last Saturday in the K&H League against Dabas on the road and won. The top scorer of the 28:40 victory was Gasper Marguc with seven goals. In the Champions League the “Építők” played their last game in the beginning of May, at home, and after the away win in Flensburg, they won at home as well, hence qualified for the Final4 in Cologne.
