Foreshadow: Veszprém – Budakalász

 

On Tuesday at 6:15 p.m., Telekom Veszprém hosts CYEB Budakalász in the Veszprém Arena in the K&H League’s upcoming round. The game will be broadcasted live by M4 Sport.

 

 

The two teams have already met this year on 6 December, when Veszprém travelled to Budakalász. The game ended in a 25:44 victory for us. Our top scorer was Dragan Gajic with 8 goals, while Gasper Marguc and Gábor Ancsin helped the team with 7 and 6 goals respectively. The opponent’s top scorer was Emil Berggren with 7 goals.

 

Budakalász is currently on the 5th position in the championship trailing by 10 points to the 4th Balatonfüred and leading by 2 points to the 6th Csurgó. They played 23 games so far and they won 10 times, while losing 9 times and achieving 4 draws. They collected 24 points with their performance so far. They could clinch a draw against MOL-Pick Szeged in the middle of the season and could win against Balatonfüred at home by 4 goals. They played on 28 March last time, also at home and won against Eger 30:28. Their top scorer in the domestic league is Bence Nagy with 146 goals, with 125 out of action.

 

 

The ”Építők” did not work fully complete this week, as one half of them were with their own national teams, the other half had trainings in Veszprém held by Haris Porobic. The last time they played was in the Champions League against Skjern Handbold where they managed to win by 5 goals at home. Unfortunately, this win was not enough to qualify for the next round after our 7 goals loss in Denmark. We had to say goodbye to the European cup series. In our last CL game of the season, Petar Nenadic played very well, and scored 9 goals. In the Hungarian championship, we played on 18 March last time, when we visited Komló and won 24:32. Our top scorer there was Cristian Ugalde, who scored 8 goals.

 

From now on, Telekom Veszprém concentrates only on the domestic series (championship and cup), we have to do everything to win both competitons.
