Foreshadow: Veszprém – Borac

Today from 6:15 PM, MVM Veszprém is hosting the Bosnian team Borac Banja Luka in the SEHA League. Live broadcast on Digi Sport2.

 

 

Last time we played against the team of Borac during the SEHA League when we had to play three games within three days. Before that game, we had informed you about the changes in our team and our SEHA League history. The above mentioned game was ended with our 14-goal victory (20:34) largely thanks to the 8 goals of Gasper Marcus’ and the great performance of Roland Mikler.

 

 

Since then, they still keep their 8th place on the list; out of 12 games, they had 3 victories, 1 draw and 8 defeats. However, they still have the chance to get into the top 6 teams since the competition between the 6th -8th places is really tight. As Coach Xavi Sabaté and Gasper Marguc highlighted at the press conference yesterday, their most experienced players will not let us take victory for granted. Moreover, they have given a reasonably good performance since the last match against us. As it had been expected, they were defeated by Vardar in Skopje (39:27) but this was followed by three home-court victories. They gained victory over Maks Strumica (26:21), Spartak Vojput (28:24), and the current CL participant and top SEHA League team Tatran Presov (24:23). The latter triumph is definitely a warning sign for us.

 

Their most productive scorer is the playmaker Stefan Jankovic, who is the 10th on the scoring list of the League with his 43 goals. Their goalkeepers are in the 9th and 11th place; the defense rate of Tibor Ivanisevic is 31%, while Damir Efendic’s rate is 29.3%.
