Foreshadow: Veszprém – Balatonfüred

Balatonfüredi KSE will visit Telekom Veszprém in the Veszprém Arena in the next round of the K&H League on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. The game will not be broadcasted by any channels.

 

 

We are meeting Balatonfüred for the third time this season. The first encounter was a friendly game behind closed doors where we won 37:31. The next game was a championship match, in away. The game ended in a 25:39 victory, and Dejan Manaskov scored 9 times.

 

Füred is currently the 4th in the league, with a 10 point advance from the 5th Komló and trailing Tatabánya by 1 point on the 3rd. Out of their 20 games they won 16 while losing 4 times. Besides Veszprém and Szeged, Budakalász and Tatabánya managed to beat them. They play on 9 March the last time when they traveled to Vác and won by the smallest margin possible. Their top scorer in the 25:26 victory was Stanislav Kasparek with 7 goals. He was not only the top scorer on that game but he is the most efficient in the league by scoring 81 times on 18 games.

 

The “Építők” suffered their first loss this season in the K&H league by losing to Szeged 31:32 in the Veszprém Arena. Our best scorer was Máté Lékai with 6 goals. A week ago, they played in Cegléd where they won 23:29. They closed the Champions League group phase against Celje a week and a half ago, where they finished on 2nd position and qualified for the best 16 teams. They will face Danish side Skjern Handbold in the knock out phase.
