Foreshadow: Tatabánya – Veszprém

 

Grundfos Tatabánya will host Telekom Veszprém on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in the next round of K&H League. The game will be broadcasted by M4 Sport from 7:50 p.m.

 

 

Last season we have met with Tatabánya twice, and managed to win both encounters. First, we played in away on 10 December and came home with a 28:31 victory in the bag, while at home we beat them 28:25. Momir Ilic scored six goals, while on the second game again Ilic and Nenadic were the most efficient scoring 5 goals each. Last time we faced them in our training camp in Győr, where we beat them 26:20. Our top scorer was Borut Mackovsek with six goals.

 

Tatabánya finished last season on the third place of the K&H League after a fierce fight with Balatonfüred, who has finished behind them. They had twenty wins, two draws and four losses, and managed to collect 42 points with a +100 goal difference. This year they have four victories, a draw and a loss. They suffered a defeat in the last round against Szeged, while they had a draw against Eger. The top scorer of the Tigers is Milos Vujovic with 34 goals.

 

 

The ”Építők” have prepared for Tatabánya with a brilliant victory over Montpellier in the Champions League. The hero of the game was Roland Mikler who, just as in Brest, saved in the last crucial second and secured the victory for the Reds.

 

Now it is time to continue this run against the bronze medalist of the Hungarian championship and to be able to move on to Szeged with a victory behind us.
