Foreshadow: Tatabánya - Veszprém

 

Grundfos Tatabánya KC hosts Telekom Veszprém on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the K&H League’s upcoming round. The game will be broadcasted by M4 Sport.

 

 

Last season we met our next opponent twice. In our home game, we won 31:22, with Gasper Marguc scoring 8 goals out of 8 attempts, having a 100% efficiency. In the away game, the result was 22:28 in our favor as well. On that game, our top scorer was Momir Ilic with 10 goals. Tatabánya finished 3rd last year in the K&H League.

 

Their great position at the end of the championship allowed them to step on the European cup stage. Tatabánya joined the EHF Cup in the 3rd qualification round where they had to face Chambery. In their home game, the Hungarian team managed to win 25:24 but sadly, it was not enough for them to go on a step further. In France Chambery won by 2 goals and hence qualified for the group stage. Top scorers of Tatabánya in these 2 games were Milos Vujovic and Milos Bozovic with 9 goals each.

 

Our next opponent is currently at 4th position in the league. They played 12 games this season so far and won 10 while losing 2 games. Their 2 defeats come from Szeged and Balatonfüred. The last team is their close rival in clinching the 3rd place of the league. Their top scorer in the domestic league so far is Milos Vujovic with 66 goals.

 

 

Tatabánya signed 3 new players for the new season while letting go the same amount. Dániel Fekete came from Székelyudvarhely, Ionut Iancu and Jakov Vrancic both came from Bucharest but from different teams. Szabolcs Nagy departed to PLER, Csaba Leimeter left to Budakalász and Michal Tóth signed with Gyöngyös.

 

The “Építők” played in the K&H League on Wednesday when they achieved a huge win in Budakalász. The result was 25:44. Before that, they played in the Champions League where they managed to end their 3 games losing streak and won against Kielce by 5 goals. With that victory, they are still in the fight for the first 2 positions in their group.
