PSG Handball and Telekom Veszprém meet each other for the second time in a week in the Champions League and it will be another exciting derby. Live broadcast on Sport1 from 4:30PM and the match will start at 5PM on Sunday.

Last weekend’s match was really exciting, the opponent was better with only one goal. The French star team tried to dominate the match and as a result of this Veszprém could be in an advantage only after the 42nd minute, however it did not last long. After this, the guest team scored 4 goals with the lead of Uwe Gensheimer, who performed well during the whole match. Fortunately, Veszprém got itself together and they managed to keep the 1-goal difference until the 53rd minute, when the whole match turned around and „Építők” was in advantage again. In the 56th minute Paris equalized and unfortunately 5 second before the end of the match they won the game. Best goal scorers of the two teams are Uwe Gensheimer and Momir Ilic, who both scored 8-8 goals. Máté Lékai scored 6 while Luka Karabatic scored 5 goals.

’It was a surprise for me that we could win in Veszprém, there was no example for that for a long time. I think that the victory was well deserved because we could lead the whole match. We are very happy for the victory because every victory is precious in this group.’ – said Zvonimir Serdarusic, coach of PSG.
’We played a really good match against a top team, which has a lot of great players and probably the best team in Europe right now. We made a bad decision as for the last shot and by the opponent team, Gensheimer scored a goal.’ – said Xavi Sabaé after the match.
Paris did not stop during the week, they defeated Montpellier’s team for 31-25 in the French Championship. Uwe Gensheimer scored 9, Nikola Karabatic scored 8 goals.
Telekom Veszprém also won against Eger on Monday, one day after the Champions League match for 20:28.
Victory would be important for Veszprém in the French capital city because if they win then Veszprém would be far behind PSG and Barcelona. Reading recent statements we can be sure that the boys will do anything to get a good result.
Go on, Veszprém!
