Foreshadow: Gyöngyös - Veszprém

 

On Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Telekom Veszprém will start the spring season in the K&H League against B.Braun Gyöngyös on the road. The game will not be broadcasted by any TV channels.

 

 

Our next opponent is currently at the 11th position in the league with 3 victories, 2 draws and 10 defeats. They managed to won only against Vác, Orosháza and FTC. Top scorer from the team is the right back, Mitar Markez with 54 goals.

 

We have already met Gyöngyös this season and achieved a victory by a large margin. During the 39:19 victory, Gasper Marguc scored 6 goals while from the opposition the top scorer was Péter Kovacsics with 5 goals.

 

 

Fresh news from our opponent is that they signed the former Hungarian national team member, Milorad Krivokapic. The 37 years old right back arrived to Gyöngyös from Székelyudvarhely.

 

The last time “Építők” played was on 20 December, when they beat Orosháza on home court before the Christmas break. In the Champions League, the team played on 2 December last time, and managed to clinch a victory against Polish champions PGE Vive Kielce. Since then 11 of our players participated in the EURO2018 in January in Croatia after which there was not much time to rest. The boys are in training for 2 weeks now even though the roster is not complete at all. Our players who had a bigger run in the European championship will just arrive in the second half of the week. One interesting thing can be on Saturday that our newly arrived player, Petar Nenadic can probably play his first game in the jersey of Veszprém.
