Foreshadow: Csurgó – Veszprém

 

The K&H League continues for the Hungarian record champion on Saturday, when Telekom Veszprém visits Csurgói KK. The game will start at 6:00 p.m. and it will be broadcasted live on Veszprém Handball TV Youtube channel.

 

 

The first encounter between the parties was won by Veszprém. We met them right in the first round and managed to win 32:17. The top scorer from Veszprém was Dragan Gajic, who scored nine goals with only one penalty. From the opponent Vasic, Kerkovits and Nagy scored three goals each.

 

Csurgó is currently on fifth place in the league. They played thirteen games so far and won eight times, drawn twice and lost three times. They played their last game on 15 December against Szeged and suffered an eleven-goal defeat at home. Csurgó’s top scorer in the championship is Marko Vasic with 87 goals.

 

 

Telekom Veszprém played their last championship game on 16 December against Cegléd on the road. The result was a 23:41 victory with Manuel Strlek scoring six goals. Their last game in the Champions League was on 2 December against the titleholder Montpellier at home and managed to beat them for the second time this season.

 

The roster is complete since yesterday and they are working towards great achievements in the second half of the season. The first step is Csurgó, where the guys would like to clinch a victory.
