Foreshadow: Csurgó - Veszprém

 

Csurgói KK hosts Telekom Veszprém in the K&H League on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. The will not be televised.

 

 

We have already met Csurgó this season and managed to beat them 31:15, thanks to mainly the 8 goals of Dejan Manaskov. The top scorer from our opponent on that game was Marko Vasic with 6 goals, from which he scored 5 from penalties.

 

Csurgó is currently on the 8th position of the league. They have 6 wins and 7 losses. Their top scorer in the championship is Marko Vasic with 93 goals. Behind him is Klemen Cehte with 38.

 

Our opponent played in the 2nd qualification round of the EHF Cup. On their home game, they beat RK Dubrava by 9 goals and were hopeful to qualify for the next round. This margin was not enough however, because in Croatia they suffered a 10 goals defeat. The overall score was 59:60 for the Croats and Csurgó was eliminated from the cup. After that László Sótonyi was sacked from the bench and József Bencze took over the responsivities as a coach.

 

The “Építők” played against Cegléd the last time in the K&H League and managed to win by a huge margin. The score was 41:15. In the Champions League they played on home court last time, and they beat Kielce 31:26 .
