We started the match with Yahia, Strlek, Marguc, Blagotinsek, Sipos, Lauge, Corrales team and we change Sipos to Nenadic. Nenadic scored our first 3 goal, in the 10th minutes it was 1-5. In the 13th minutes Porto took his second time out and change for 7-6. After that each team scored 1-1 goal, in the 20th minutes 5-10.
Second half first and second goal was scored by Nenadic again. After some amazing saves by Rodrigo Corrales and some good defence work, in the 10th minutes 13-20. Blagotinsek, then Magalhaes get 2 min suspension. Porto’s 7-6 worked well in this period, but according to Rodrigo’s brilliant saves and Gasper Marguc goals we held the 5 goal lead. In the 25th minutes 6 goal lead Péter Lukács and Ilic Zorán on the cort. The result is 23-30.

Momir Ilic: − Congratulations for my team and respect to Porto too! The key for today’s victory was the team spirit, but of course we needed the individual performances too. I’m satisfied with our performance in the first half, but in the second half there was a 5-10 minute long period when we made a few mistakes. However, I’m very happy with the victory, congratulations to my team again!

Magnus Andersson: − Congratulations to Veszprém, they deserved the victory! They played really well, but as the coach of FC Porto, I wasn’t very happy about that. It’s okay to lose against Veszprém, they are one of the best teams in the world, but we made too many easy mistakes. If you want to defeat a team like Veszprém, you have to give 100% at least. We had a few chances, but Rodrigo Corrales made some great saves. We can be proud of our performance in the second half, we put up a good fight, we came back to three or four goals, but Petar didn’t let us to catch up with them. We can learn a lot from games like these, we are going to analyze this one.

Petar Nenadic: − The coaches have said it all: we played well, apart from that period in the second half, when we didn’t concentrate well enough, but the most important thing is the victory. We have a lot of respect for Porto, what Magnus and the club achieved in the last few years is amazing. We like to play here, the atmosphere is always great. I would like to dedicate this victory to my friend, Dejan Manaskov, who suffered a serious injury, and I would like to wish him a speedy recovery!

Rui Silva: − Congratulations to Veszprém, they deserved the victory! You can’t get six goals behind in the first few minutes against a team like Veszprém. We made many mistakes, and Veszprém could take advantage of that. However, we never gave up, fought until the end, we got a lot to learn from this match.
