„Everything will be easier together”

However the handball team of Veszprém has played its last match on May 29 the relaxation time is still far away for Xavi Sabaté. He works on the preparation of the season since then. We made a short interview with him.

 

Preparation for the next season is still on the schedule together with the Club, the Presidium and Nikola Eklemovic. This season will be very hard but I think that the Club is ready to solve this situation the best way. Besides that I help László Nagy with his handball camp and after that I will relax a bit and go home to Spain for a short time.

 

 

Every team is very powerful in the CL and we could see in the previous season that this new competition system is really tough. Moreover it seems that more powerful teams are in this season. Our group will be extremely hard and I am sure that the fans will enjoy the matches. I hope that we can prepare well for this season because it will be even harder than the previous one.

 

This will be a new experience for us. A lot of tough matches are ahead of us. We have to work well because it will be hard to organize the preparation for the matches. And I am not talking about the highlighted matches because for us every match is equally important. We are thinking from match to match. We try to find the best solution for this situation and I am sure we will.

 

Everybody knows these three players who are top-players. There will be a big competition among the players, it will be harder to divide the playtime between them but the team is the most important thing and we have to play with the best team in the next season. Everybody will have the chance. We could work together very well with the young players in the previous season, they were always there to help and I hope they will be there this time, too.

 

We made small changes compared to the previous years. This time, the players will get longer holiday than before. After that the team will be together again and start to train for this hard season. That is why we thought to give more holidays for them because more matches are waiting for them than before, moreover there will be really hard clashes. As the championships start soon, we have to maintain the balance between the physical and tactical training during the summer. Until then the players have to relax as much as they can and ‘recharge their batteries’. The challenges will be hard but I am sure that together everything will be easier and we may reach our goals.
