Xavi Sabaté: First of all, I would like to congratulate Péter Biros for his carrier, it was such a great pleasure to be here today. He is a real rolemodel and many people like him. Only few people can say that they won 3 Olympic gold medals. I also congratulate coach Edmond Tóth for his work here. It was hard to play here after PSG game that is why I am happy for the victory. I am glad that our young players, Borbély, Ligetvári and Füzi are getting better because they are important for the future. It was a hard game but thanks to our defense in the second half we could win. We could take over the advantage because of the fast breaks. We hope that Blagotinsek did not get injured seriously. I wish Eger good luck in the future and we are preparing against Paris.
Dániel Füzi: It was a huge experience to play against Péter Biros. I congratulate Eger for their play. For the second half our defense got together and thanks to our fast break goals we could win the match.
Edmond Tóth: I congratulate Veszprém for their victory and we would like to thank them for letting Péter Biro to say goodbye here. This shows how much Veszprém appreciates the true sport performance. We hope that today’s match was a celebration to everybody. Veszprém played like a real team. In the first half they just mapped us and in the second half they took advantage over our weaknesses and defeated us. It was hard to score any goals against their world-class goalkeeper so Veszprém could score a lot of goals after taking turns. I am proud of my team because they did everything what they could. I congratulate and wish Veszprém good luck. I wish they would carry on the fame of our country as they did so far.
Péter Biros: I thank the opportunity very much, first of all, to the city of Eger moreover to the Handball and Water Polo Club of Eger. I was a little bit tensed before the match; it was a long time ago to hold a waxed ball in my hands. It could be seen at the beginning. I felt really good on the court. I was curious what the difference is between us and a world-class handball team. This was – as in water polo – speed. It was a great experience to play against Veszprém for me, too.
