Dragan Pechmalbec joins Telekom Veszprém

Dragan Pechmalbec was born in Cahors France on 5 January 1996, to his French father and Serbian mother. At the age of 16, he swapped his Stade Rennais football jersey, to a Cercle Paul Bert Rennes handball jersey and in 2016 he completed a transfer to HBC Nantes.

Since then, the 25-year-old pivot even played a Champions League final in 2018. (HBC Nantes – Montpellier HB 26-32); furthermore, he achieved two silver and three gold medals in French Championship. In the current season of the Liqui Moly Starligue, he scored 23 goals in 8 matches, which is an 85% conversion rate.

Dragan – who will be wearing the #46 jersey next season – did in fact play in the French national team, however this spring he decided – in hopes of more gametime – that in the future, he would play for the Serbian national team.

We can even remember the pivot talent, who plays both defence and offence, from last season’s Champions League quarter finals, where Dragan scored 9 goals against Telekom Veszprém.
