Coach Vranjes about the Sparkassen Cup

I am pretty satisfied because I got a lot of answers to my questions. On the first game I gave almost every player some minutes to see where they were when it comes to handball. It went okay. Somebody had difficulties and somebody did well. On the second game I changed the tactics a little bit. I let some players play more than 15 minutes while some of them played 20 minutes. Ligetvári and Győri played a little bit more. The rest did not play that much, I rested Nagy in defense and attack for 30 minutes. It was a good measurement for me as well. For the third game I started them like they played last year. It went well but you can notice that Nantes for example were some steps ahead. We had one training for a full 60 minutes where we could exercise defense and one training for 60 minutes of attack. It was not enough to compete with the others. Anyways I was satisfied with what the guys showed. We will start training handball tomorrow for the first time. Keeping that in mind I am satisfied.

 

 

The most positive thing is that we did not train attack, nor defense but we had a lot of fast breaks and it was really good. It can be better but it was really good. I was happy with the players running all the time. That was the best thing in the tournament. As far as improvement we did not have a big problem Lékai, Ilic and Nagy play. The problem came when the new players like Accambray, Győri and Tönnesen played. It is because we have not trained handball so in that we have to improve. Our goalkeepers had a tough weekend. They are very tired. Every player is tired and the goalkeepers are very tired too. These are definitely a few things that I would like to improve in the next couple of days.

 

 

Now we will come down on intensity. I will not train that so hard anymore. It will be a lower intensity but still very effective. The guys will be able to feel their legs once again and we will train handball. In the next 2 weeks we will exercise with balls and after that we will have some more power session. After that we will not be completely done but by the middle of September I would like to see Supermen everywhere.
