Celje – Veszprém pregame statements

This Saturday at 8 PM Telekom Veszprém is going to start the 2016=17 SEHA League season in Celje. You can read the pregame statements of our head coach and two former Celje-players in the bellows. The match will be broadcasted live by Digi Sport 1

 

Xavi Sabaté: This will be our first game in this SEHA League season, we will visit Celje which is a new team in this competition. You must always expect a very hard game in Celje because their team is very young and run a lot. Their defense is very aggressive and they have one of the quickest fast-break in Europe. This is the 5th week of preparation and their two wing players played in the Olympics. I am sure the fans will see a great game where the offense will have important role. We should not have turnovers and let them to score easy goals from fast-breaks. They are incredible fast and that can cause us a lot of problems.

 

Mirko Alilovic: I am sure that Celje will step on the court with an extra motivation. This will be their first big game in this season, moreover they will play against Veszprém on an anniversary game celebrating their 70 year long history. They will do everything for the victory and for a successful start of the new season. Beside these they used to start the seasons always very well, especially at home. But I think we have a very good and strong team which will be favorite of almost all the games in this season. For us only the victory will be acceptable in this Saturday, everything other will be a disappointment. We will fight hard for the victory in our first clash in the 2016/17 SEHA League season.

 

Blaz Blagotinsek: I am very excited because of the game this Saturday. I am the child of Celje and I always loved to play in the Zlatorog Arena which is very similar to my new home. Now I already play in the team of Telekom Veszprém, this is a new chapter in my life. I hope we will play well and win this game. The team of Celje is very fast and young. Our team is more experienced and taller. I think we must use these advantages because these ones can be key in this match.
