Ceglédi KKSE - Telekom Veszprém 20:48
Telekom Veszprém started the game in a rather strange formation, as Kentin Mahé played in left wing due to the lack of winger on that side. Neither teams managed to score from the first attacks, however Kentin Mahé did get the lead for his team. The first goals of Cegléd was scored in the 6th minute, then the standing was 1:3. In the 10th minute, Veszprém had a 4:7 lead, thanks to their fastbreaks in this period. The „Építők” had a line change, but this did not break their rhythm. In the 20th minute, the red-black team had a 9:15 lead. In the remaining of the half, Veszprém was still dominating, and managed to gain an eight-goals lead for the break. The standing after the first half: 13:21.
The second period started with a Corrales save, and a Mahé goal, then after another Corrales save, Lauge made the difference 10 goals between the teams. The standing was 14:26, to Veszprém of course, Károly Nagy called a timeout for Cegléd. Around the 40th minute a crazy run started between the parties; Cegléd seemed exhausted, while Veszprém was still running with the first line. They lead fast offenses, which brought 15 goals difference, 16:31. In the 48th minute, the difference grew even higher, twenty goals, 18:38. The difference could have been 30 by the end, but the performance and the result is still very good. Cegléd – Veszprém 20:48
David Davis: Thanks to Cegléd for the game, it is not easy to find a team, that can play in full strength. Congratulations to my players, they took this game seriously and I am satisfied with them.
Patrik Ligetvári: I would like to thank Cegléd for the game and that they took it seriously. We started well in the first half, and dictated a high tempo. We wanted to show ourselves. We scored 48 goals in away, so we have to keep on this road.
Károly Nagy: Congratulations to Veszprém. They were in another speed than we were. We could not even keep their tempo. The first half was all right, but in the second, we could not keep up neither physically, nor tactically. Veszprém deserved the win.
Károly Juhász: Congratulations to Veszprém. We have to be happy to play games in this difficult situation. We hope that games will come in a row from now on. We only have to take care of ourselves. Well-deserved victory for Veszprém and good luck to them in the future.
