We started the game with Cupara in the goal and Marguc, Ligetvári, Lékai, Blagotinsek, Yahia and Mahé on the court. Momir Ilic's side got off to a really good start, they took the game very seriously. Budakalász put up a decent fight too, especially Dániel Váczi, who made excellent saves throughout the game.
Telekom Veszprém had a slow start to the second half, there was no sign of the confident performance that we saw before the break. After the first ten minutes the away took control of the game again, and by the 45th minute they had a 10 goal lead. Patrik Ligetvári and his teammates did not slow down in the dying minutes either which earned them a 41-26 victory.
Momir Ilic: − Congratulations to my team for the victory, and respect to Budakalász for putting up a good fight! It was a good game, our attitude was excellent. This is what I asked before the game, to take it seriously, give our best, and this is what happened. Apart from the first ten minutes of the second half, when our concentration was gone for a while, I’m satisfied with our performance.
