Bound

We have been facing them for years. Sometimes we have to fight with them in the knockout round, the group phase or even in the semi-final of Final Four. It seems that the German THW Kiel simply cannot live without our team and vice versa. We are bound to each other. We are meeting this weekend again.

 

This matchup, however, has an especially positive side as well. We are facing a derby between the two champion teams in the most prestigious tournament. This clash also counts as an extremely important game in a professional sense. Although we shall never rely on statistics before such a significant match, theoretically we might have better odds. We must turn this into reality.

 

This game is going to be a mentally challenging task for both Kiel and Veszprém. We have to stop comparing each other; they have changed a lot as well. This summer, we demonstrated our real quality and were able to defeat them. They also lost many excellent players in the past few years. Like Jicha and Palmarsson. The team had to replace them. Nevertheless, Kiel is still among the top teams of Bundesliga. They still have a strong and outstanding squad.

 

We have to admit that our team also has to improve. Moreover, the team seems to be a bit fragile because of some of our injured players and other difficulties. The question is that out of the two “wounded” teams which one will be able to get over with the problems. We are starving for a victory. Firstly, attention must be paid to Veszprém. Then, Paris. Of course, they are very much related...
