Xavi Sabaté: It was a great experience to play in this arena with great atmosphere against a very good team. We prepared hard for this game because we respect them very much. We can thank our victory for our play in the first half because our defense was very good and we scored easy fast break goals. However in the second half the opponent team fought really hard and they came up for 21:22 but we reacted well for that and we could make a bigger advantage thank to our good defense and running. This is very important to us. We are very glad that we could get the 2 points and I congratulate all our players.
Gasper Marguc: There is a very hard semester behind us because we need to do well in 3 leagues and we had a lot of matches. Maybe we lost some points but we concentrate from match to match and I am happy that we could win today. We knew that none of the strongest teams had easy job here so we prepared well for this match. I think that we did everything what our coach said however it is true that our goalkeeper’s performance helped us a lot in the first half. In the second half they came up from 6 goals to only 1 but we could win at the end. We are happy for the 2 points.
Peter Bredsdorff-Larsen: I congratulate Veszprém for the well-deserved victory. They are a very good team with full of powerful and great players. To get points on these matches we need to provide above our boundaries. In the first half the performance of their goalkeeper meant the difference moreover we had to fight for every opportunity. In the second half we showed how strong we are mentally and we came back for 21:22. Then Veszprém showed that they are on a higher level and they did better in decisive situations than us. All in all I am glad for our play because we played without our two determinative players and we proved that we deserve our place in group “A”. We will keep fighting and try to grab the chance against Plock and fight for our dreams to get into the eight finals.
Kristian Klitgaard: I think that we played well on this year’s Champions League season’s first matches and we fought hard against every team. Our most important matches were against Plock and Schaffhausen. I am happy for our performance on the first 9 matches. We will continue our fight for getting into the eight finals.
