Before the final steps to Final Four

Fans must be super excited. In this busy period they might not even know when, where and against whom the team is playing. Such a rush! Match after match. For MVM Veszprém, this is the period when the results are extremely important. This shall be the time for the team to flourish after all the effort they had made. The players have been working hard for almost a year and have travelled thousands of kilometres by car and plane. The Championship playoff has begun and they can’t afford any mistakes from now on. The Hungarian Cup final four in Debrecen and the SEHA League Final Four in Varazdin are coming soon. And of course the Champions League. Our aim is to qualify to the best 4 which is the hardest thing imaginable. In May Europe’s best 4 teams are going to clash.

 

We are facing three important challenges. One of them is easier, the other two are harder. As a first step, we have to get into the best 8. We need to top our 5-goal victory against Zaporozsija. There is no doubt that Veszprém is the better team. The players, the fans and even the Ukrainians are aware of that Veszprém has a good chance of qualifying. But first, we have to prove it. Seemingly it is an easy task but it is always hard to keep up with the CL’s speed. Sometimes players and fans seem to be a bit less active during the games. The most important thing for us is to qualify after the first knockout phase game. Then, the next step is to gain victory over the winner of Vardar Skopje – Wisla Plock to get into the Final Four. The last but one step will take place in Veszprém Arena.
