On Saturday at 7:15 pm the Telekom Veszprém is going to step on the court in Barcelona in the upcoming round of VELUX EHF Champions League. The game will be broadcasted live by Sport1. We asked our head coach and two players before the clash against group leader.
Xavi Sabaté: We will play against the group leader but all teams in our group are tough opponent with high quality. Barcelona at home is stronger, they have a lot of new players but they managed to keep the most important ones at the club. I think that this year they are going to make a good performance. Their defense, the goalkeepers and from these ones the fast-breaks are especially good. This is the strongest part of Barcelona at the moment.

Christian Ugalde: We play against the still undefeated Barcelona, hopefully they will lose points this weekend. It will be important for us to show Europe that we are here. We have to play good because they have high confidence now that they have 8 points out of 4 matches. We have to take care because they have a week to prepare for this game. If we can defend the net like we did in the last game we can win against Barcelona. They may not have the best players in the world but they have a very good team. They have a lot of young players. The backs and the wings recover very fast like Valero Rivera. They have very good shooters from outside that we must take notice, they play very good around 11 meters and they play the pivot very good, they have very good quality in attack. It is the same in defense, they have a very good defense mechanism so because of this we have to play very well if we want to win the match.

Roland Mikler: We have to carry on playing like against Kiel and I really hope that after such a great win at home we can keep our confidence boosted. I could see the fire in the team and the will to win by any means. I hope this spirit can continue throughout the season. For now the most important is Barcelona where we have to give 110% with a very good defense and an even better offense. I seriously hope that the team can keep this good form and can prove it on the court in the next match.
