David Davis: We had a tough game 4 days ago against Vardar. It is impossible for the players to keep that kind of concentration every day during the whole season. Today we had a tough beginning in the first half, then in the second half, the team was better prepared and we made an excellent first 10 minutes. We could keep it until the end. Congratulations to my players and Balatonfüred, because they played great match. Last week they also played against Füchse Berlin and they are a tough team at home. They played a great match and I am satisfied because of that.
Manuel Strlek: Congratulations to Balatonfüred. They played well today and were a tough opponent. We did not start the game too good as we have made mistakes in the defense and we were slow in offense. You cannot win against anyone if you are not 100% concentrated in today’s handball. Balatonfüred played well at home, and I think that most important think that the most important thing is that nobody got injured and we got two points.
István Csoknyai: Congratulations to Veszprém for the victory and for their performance during these last few weeks. It is clear that this is not the same team that started the season. I think because of this, our three goals loss get a bit more comforting. We had three goals before the game: to run a lot and score easy goals, to stay in the game as long as possible and to make Veszprém play with full strength. I think we fulfilled all three goals. The boys ran a lot and scored a lot of goals, our goalkeepers helped us in this, and saved clear chances from which we could lead fastbreaks. Veszprém could only decide the game in the second half. They switched up a bit and got more effective in defense, from which they ran on us and took the two points. I congratulated my team because I think I have not seen this kind of fighting spirit and motivation since last December. I hope that in the last few months left we can take this on and even get better at it in the championship. Good luck to Veszprém for the weekend. We have tasks to do in the EHF Cup and we want to reach our goals in the championship as well.
Balázs Szöllősi: Congratulations to Veszprém. I think both teams are in a tough period, the opponent in the Champions League and we in the EHF Cup. We went out to this game to play freely. We could not win many games lately but I think match brought back our confidence. We carry on now; we host St. Raphael in the weekend, which we would like to win. Good luck to Veszprém in the CL.
