20 questions, 1 player - Momir Ilic

This year Telekom Veszprém's roster consist of 20 players. In our new series we are going to ask the same 20 questions to each player. We are moving up by the jersey number, our third subject was Momir Ilic. You can read the chat with him below.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is a Serbian dish called Sarma. Rice, minced meat and some kind of walnut mixed and wrapped in grape leaf.

What is your favorite drink?

I like water and wine. Any kind of good wine. It can be Hungarian, Spanish, Italian or Serbian. The most important thing is that it has to taste good.

What is your favorite color?

My favorite color is the Veszprém-red.

What is your favorite movie?

One of my favorite is the Million dollar baby with Clint Eastwood. It won 4 Oscars.

Who is your favorite actor and/or actress?

Denzel Washington is my favorite actor, and Julia Roberts is my favorite actress.

Who is you favorite musician?

I like Serbian music. Not really the kind of pop music that exists nowadays.

What is your favorite song?

My favorite song is Don’t worry, be happy. It is by Bob Marley. All my other favorite music comes from Serbia because I like that kind of music.

What is your favorite book?

I have a lot. The one I am reading now is about Emir Kusturica. The famous director. It is very good so far.

What is your favorite animal?

I like dogs the most.

What are your habits before a game?

I have a lot of them. I wake up in the morning and have a coffee. The daily ritual has to be the same. I eat the same food before every game. Have a walk. I think that is all.

What is your proudest moment in career?

A lot of things. I have won the Champions League twice. We achieved second place in the 2012 European Championship in Serbia. It was a proud moment for me and my country as well. I am proud about my 7 Bundesliga title with Kiel.

Who is your role model?

I have more from handball than in life. In Serbia it was Nenad Perunisic, in Sweden there was Stefan Lövgren. I think that is all.

What would you be if you were not a handball player?

I would probably be a basketball player. Serbia beat Hungary now but we were not good.

Other than handball, which sport do you like the most? Which team and/or player do you support?

I think I have already answered that. I really like basketball.

What do you like to do in your free time?

So much things. If it is not handball I spend my quality time with my family and my son. I want to enjoy every moment with him because we do not have so much time during the season. I try to be with him the most that is possible.

Which is the prettiest city you have ever been to?

Barcelona and Budapest. It is easy. I like both very much. I would say Europe in general.

What is your dream car?

I do not have a dream car. I would like a big car. If I have to say one it would be the Cadillac Escalade.

What do you fear the most?

Maybe snakes. But not too much.

What is your motto?

Enjoy your life.

Are there any skills you wish you had learned?

I really like music but I cannot play it. I would really like to learn how to play a musical instrument.
