Last year we went through the players and coaches in our 20 questions series, and we would like to carry on with it. This time, it was Kentin Mahé’s turn to tell us his favorite things.
What is your favorite food?
Homemade quiche and some salad with homemade dressing and a glass of red wine.
What is your favorite drink?
My favorite drink is San Pellegrino blood orange drink.
What is your favorite color?
Purple it is.
What is your favorite movie?
It is not a movie but I like Game of Thrones a lot.
Who is your favorite actor and/or actress?
My favorite actor is Mahershala Ali from Moonlight and Tom Hardy.
Who is your favorite musician?
My favorite band is Eagle Eye Cherry.
What is your favorite song?
I like Save Tonight from Eagle Eye Cherry the most.
What is your favorite book?
I do not read much but I read 127 Hours from Aron Ralston, the guy who gets trapped in a canyon when a big stone smashes his hand. I liked that one.
What is your favorite animal?
The elephant.
What are your habits before a game?
I do not have so many habits, lucky me. I try to take it easy. I do not like to have these perfect habits like putting one shoe after the other.
What is your proudest moment in career?
My proudest moment in my career was being in the Olympic final, and winning the 2017 World championship in France.
Who is your role model?
I have several ones, I never had only one role model. I watched a lot of Michael Phelps when I was younger, also Martin Fourcade who did biathlon. I followed David Rudisha, the runner too.
What would you be if you were not a handball player?
I would probably do decathlon or I would be a football player.
Other than handball, which sport do you like the most? Which team and/or player do you support?
Forza Juve, Forza!
What do you like to do in your free time?
I spend a lot of time with my daughter in the garden. We also go out for a coffee with the boys from the team, we like to go to Vienna and Budapest but I would also like to see other cities in Hungary.
Which is the prettiest city you have ever been to?
Of course, it is Paris, but after that, it is Vienna.
What is your dream car?
I do not have a dream car. Maybe a bicycle that drives itself. (Laughs)
What do you fear the most?
The end of my career.
What is your motto?
Who never tries, will never know!
Are there any skills you wish you had learned?
Shooting harder I think.
